How it works
Listings begin with Steve Koepke’s The List and evidence from venues and bands. Automation organizes the bills and checks identities; uncertainty stays visible for review. Anyone can read, and signed-in listeners can vote.

Most algorithms flatten culture into frictionless playlists. This one is pointed the other way: toward local noise, old rooms, strange bills, and the evidence that they happened.
AI works backstage, but it does not invent shows, manufacture votes, or turn uncertainty into fact. The old-web surface, visible machinery, and growing archive are part of the piece—a machine helping preserve a human scene without pretending to be the scene.
